Welcome to the Waterboro Fire Department website. WFD has been proudly serving the community of Waterboro for over 72 years! The Waterboro Fire Department handled over 2200 calls for service in 2009. We serve a population of about 7500 residents covering a 57 square mile area. The area is comprised of rural homes, sub divisions and light commercial businesses. US routes 202 & 5 intersect near East Waterboro, Maine. With the continued residential and commercial growth the department will see a steady increase in services provided annually. WFD also provides mutual aid to Alfred, Buxton, Hollis, Goodwin Mills, Limerick, Limington, and Shapleigh. We would like to thank the community for their continuous support.
Our department is staffed with 4 fulltime employees, several part time and many dedicated call/volunteer members. We provide both Emergency Medical and Fire Suppression Services 24/7.
Please note the following:
- The Waterboro Fire Dept. does not solicit money over the phone.
- Permits are required for all outside fires.
